Sunday Run – Drought Relief
– meet at the Clubhouse 9.00 AM for 9:30 departure. [View Map]
A regular run for the club which will include the Drought Relief project as part of that. The run will end at the clubhouse where members will be provided a free lunch. In return the club ask participants to contribute at least $20:00 per head to a fund we will use to help our farmers or businesses badly impacted by the drought. Our club Committee has made a decision to match all funds raised by members on a dollar for dollar basis.
The club ask that as many club members as possible bring out their pride and joy for a run down through Numinbar to Murwillumbah and back over Tomewin with morning tea on the way.
The lunch is planned to be hot dishes provided by any member who wishes to help. Some suggestions, but not requests, that you might like to consider cooking include:- casseroles, curries, lasagna, hot chicken dishes, vegetables, or any recipe that you like. We would also like sweets that are finger-foods – slices, cakes, tarts, etc. If you feel like bringing pre-lunch snacks then please do so. Need to be advised of your intentions prior to Sunday so that we don’t get ten versions of the same dish.
If you or your friends are unable to join us on the run then you are very welcome to come along just for the lunch. $20.00 for delicious home cooking is cheap.
Numbers needed by Don MacTaggart by Friday 7th September. Contact Don by email email@example.com or 0400722633.
This day is an opportunity for all our members and friends to enjoy a good run and what will be a great lunch whilst helping those in drought stricken areas to improve their lot.
